Mission of Salaam Magazine

Our mission is to create a peaceful world for all children by encouraging them to develop skills with mindfulness and knowledge-driven curiosity. Salaam Magazine is inspired by universal values and ethics that encourage children to seek positive solutions to the world's problems. With our focus on STEM, good morals and knowledge of Islam, we hope to inspire our readers to become leaders who are both strong mentally and spiritually.

Founder of Salaam Magazine

Esra Nur Sula, a Turkish American, has lived in the United States since 2000. She has a Masters in Architecture. When she moved to the US, she had five children and became a stay-at-home mom – a humbling and challenging vocation she continues to take on proudly. Early on in her career as a parent, she noticed the lack of Islamic resources for children in the US. It was with a great deal of diligence and creativity that she brought the pages of Salaam Magazine to life and among readers across the country and around the globe. Reading, hiking, and exploring nature are Esra’s indispensable love.
